CONCERT PROGRAM
An hour long musical presentation
featuring fiddle tunes from around the world, sing alongs, storytelling
and great piano playing. We play (and demonstrate) the journey that
music can be, both personally and culturally. We can follow up with
some folk dancing and/or question and answer session, depending
on the dynamics, age and size of the group.

THE BOY, THE CAT, AND THE MAGIC
FIDDLE
An hour of musical storytelling. This program takes the children
on a musical adventure, using the fiddle as a means of performing
magic. Along the way, children learn the power of music to touch
others emotionally, that things aren't always what they seem, and
that they, too, have the power of music in them. Ages 3 - 8.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
A FIDDLE AND A VIOLIN?
This program explores fiddle styles from around the world and
the history and nature of folk music. Drawn from Laura's experiences
playing many types of fiddle music and her travels in Sweden, France,
South America, Mexico, and South Africa, it is both a performance
and an overview of traditional music styles. This program can also
be modified to be a workshop for string players interested in fiddle
styles, ornimentation, and improvisation. Can also include a discussion
of the business of music. Ages 10 - 18. Great for school music programs.

SONGWRITING FOR EVERYONE!
This program does just what it says, everyone gets involved
composing tunes and songs. Laura and George are both prolific composers
and songwriters and love to help others get started. Ages 12-21,
a great program for high school music/humanities courses.
